Personal referrals are one of the most sought after forms of advertising by businesses. Why is it then that it may not be as prevalent as we believe?

Seth Godin has an interesting take on why it doesn’t happen as much as we think.

Seth has one of the highest rated blogs on the internet and is a very successful internet marketer. If you look at his blog it has no fancy header or a lot of nice photos or graphs. Some days it is very short and usually nothing to download. I find it fascinating and full of insightful information.

This article. “The Selfish Truth About Word of Mouth(Why Referrals Don’t Happen)”is well worth the two or three minutes it takes to read it. You will even find out how to get more referrals.
